You see a plastic bottle labeled mineral infused water, but it’s black, would you try it? Whole Foods in Sarasota hosted The Real Sons of New Jersey, the faces behind the brand of blk. water. They gave patrons an opportunity to taste the water and fans of the show took photographs with them.
Chris and Albie Manzo, the sons of one of the The Real Housewives of New Jersey say their everyday job is representing their brand. What is it? blk. (bee. el. kay) is the first ever fulvic-enhanced all-natural mineral water. blk. is what happens when fulvic trace minerals are added to pure water. Their grandmother lives in Sarasota, but they’ve never been down to visit her. “The second we got here she was freaking out and so excited. “ says Albie “It was good to see her, we were happy she came to see us.”
What do they think of the people they’ve met in Sarasota? “I don’t want to insult the other people,” hesitantly says Chris “but there probably the nicest people we’ve met so far.” They say everyone they’ve met are from New Jersey. “I guess because everyone in Jersey are so angry all the time and now they are so happy to be in nice weather and surrounded by nice people, “ Albie says “It’s like talking to people who just got out of jail, there so happy.” The purpose of the tour is to make sure people know the brand exists. “It’s been a tremendous response so far. It’s not about making huge sales.” Albie says, “It’s about making sure when people come in they understand the benefits and they want to get behind it.”
Celebrity personal trainer and host of The Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels says she loves the beverage in a video posted on their website www.getblk.com. On the site you can see all the benefits, find locations carrying the beverage and even purchase shirts with their slogans in their gear store.
These two young men are full of energy, personable and seem to have the right perspective and attitude to propel the brand.
