Where Do I Check In?

The Sarasota Film Festival 2013 is underway as of April 5th bringing in entertainment industries creatives from all over the world. It may or may not be your first time here, but this should give you a little direction on where to check in.

Follow the signs on Main Street to SFF Office.

Press, Filmmakers & Industry Check-in

Located at 1900 Main Street, Suite 211 – There are several signs pointing you in the direction of the SFF offices. The building is located on the corner of Main Street and Links Avenue. If you see the restaurant Eat Here and Half Shell Oyster House, then you are heading in the right direction.

Once inside you will be directed by signs that tell you which direction to go to check-in if you are a volunteer, sponsor, press or filmmaker.

While inside you have the opportunity to pick up a SFF Guide. There are also several postcards with the films that will be showing. If you’re unsure of what films you would like to see then take a look at the cards, something may appeal to you. I also suggest taking the cards for the films you are planning to see and write the time and day on the back as a helpful reminder.

Wonder what's playing, look on the table and see what stands out.

If you run into Becky Bolletti, like I did – make sure you have your best face on, because she will be snapping photos for the festival. I like to turn the camera on photographers, they like having memorable photos as well.

Remember, it’s important to be patient during the festival, don’t stress! A lot of the people you will encounter working with the festival are volunteers, they just want you to be nice to them. They volunteer their time because they are just as much of a lover of film as you are. Smile and have a wonderful time in Sarasota.

Be sure to thank the volunteers for their time when you see them. It's the little things that can make a difference.
